Man due in court in connection with alleged assault in Christchurch

A man is due to appear in court in connection with an alleged assault in Christchurch.

It was reported that at around 1.30am on Monday 26 June 2017 the victim, a Christchurch man aged in his 30s, was assaulted when he was walking on Arthur Road, near to the junction with Arthur Lane.

He was taken to hospital for treatment to a concussion and a fractured thumb.

A 24-year-old Christchurch man has been issued with a postal requisition and is due to appear at Poole Magistrates’ Court on Friday 8 December 2017 to face a charge of assault occasioning actual bodily harm.
