Detectives investigating a suspected arson and burglary in Bournemouth are appealing for witnesses or anyone with information to come forward.
Dorset Police was called at 3.21am today, Thursday 7 September 2017, by the fire service to a report of a property fire at an address in Poole Road.
Officers attended to assist with traffic control while the fire crews dealt with the incident. Nobody was found within the building and nobody was injured.
Detective Constable Sarah Close, of Bournemouth CID, said: “Following an initial investigation by the fire service, we are treating the cause of this fire as suspicious and there were signs that entry may have been forced to the premises prior to the fire.
“I would ask anyone who has more information about the incident or who witnessed any suspicious activity in the area around the time of the offence to please contact police.”
