Update: Appeal following serious road traffic collision in Bournemouth

Officers investigating a serious road traffic collision in Bournemouth have arrested a man.

At 7pm on Sunday 2 July 2017 a serious injury road traffic collision between two cars occurred on the A347 Wimborne Road at the junction with the B3064 Lansdowne Road at Cemetery Junction.

As a consequence of the collision, one of the cars then collided with metal railings, causing injuries to two 16-year-old German student pedestrians – one sustained serious and the other one minor injuries.

On Monday 3 July 2017 a 24-year-old man from the Poole area was arrested on suspicion of driving offences and released under investigation.
