Theft of purse – CCTV appeal

Officers investigating the theft of a purse in Poole have released a CCTV image of a man they would like to speak to.

Sometime between 3.45pm and 6pm on Thursday 30 March 2017 a purse was stolen from a local woman aged in her 50s in Ashley Road in Poole.

Later the same day the victim’s bank cards were fraudulently used at two shops in Poole.

Police Constable Jamie Spry, of Poole police, said: “I have carried out a number of enquiries following this incident and have visited the two stores. As part of my investigations I have located CCTV footage and I am today releasing an image of a man I would like to speak to in connection with this theft.

“I would urge anyone who recognises the man pictured to please contact Dorset police.”
