Update: Witness appeal after alleged shop robbery in Bournemouth

A woman arrested in connection with a shop robbery in Bournemouth has been released without charge.

At around 4.35pm on Friday 3 March 2017 it was reported that a woman entered Columbia News on Columbia Road, waved a knife toward the shopkeeper and demanded money from the till. The shopkeeper is then reported to have chased the woman out of the store with a baseball bat.

Nothing was stolen and nobody was injured.

An 18-year-old woman arrested on suspicion of attempted robbery has been released without charge.
