Assault in Bournemouth – witness appeal

Detectives are appealing for witnesses to come forward following an assault in Bournemouth.

At around 12.20am on Sunday 4 June 2017 a man was standing outside in the smoking area of the Dancing Duck on Poole Road when he was assaulted by a man.

The victim – a Poole man aged in his 30s – sustained a broken jaw and a broken tooth.

The offender is described as white, approximately 29 years old, six feet tall and of athletic build with short blonde hair. He was wearing a light grey or cream-coloured top.

Detective Constable Garry Weston, of Bournemouth CID, said: “This was an unprovoked attack which resulted in the victim sustaining a serious injury.

“I am appealing to anyone who witnessed this incident to please contact Dorset Police. I would also like to speak to anyone who knows who is responsible for the assault.”
