Witness appeal following attempted burglary in Weymouth

Officers are appealing for witnesses to come forward following an attempted burglary in Weymouth.

At 8.59am on Wednesday 17 May 2017 police received a report of an attempted break-in to a number of outbuildings at a property on Chickerell Road. 

The incident was believed to have taken place sometime overnight from the evening of Tuesday 16 May 2017 until approximately 9am the next morning.

Nothing was stolen.

Police Constable Carl Wood, of Weymouth police, said: “I would like to speak to anyone who witnessed the attempted burglary or has any information that may help me with my investigation.

“I am also appealing to anyone who saw someone acting suspiciously in the Chickerell Road area at the time of the incident to please get in touch.

“I would ask that the public remains vigilant and reports anything suspicious to the police.”
