UPDATE: Man found with stab wounds in Bournemouth

Detectives investigating how a man sustained stab wounds in Bournemouth have issued an update.

Police received a report from the ambulance service at around 11.40am on Thursday 27 April 2017 that a man had been found injured in an alleyway between Manor Road and East Overcliff Drive.

The man, aged in his 40s and from Bournemouth, was taken to hospital with potentially life-threatening injuries.

Thankfully his injuries are no longer life-threatening and he is expected to make a full recovery.

Detective Inspector Wayne Seymour, of Bournemouth CID, said: “Following a full investigation and having spoken to the injured man, we have now established that no one else was involved in this incident.

“The man is now receiving the appropriate care in hospital.

"I am releasing this information in a bid to reassure the local community that our investigation has concluded and the matter has been resolved."
