Appeal for witnesses following a robbery in Bournemouth

Detectives investigating a robbery at a shop in Bournemouth are appealing for witnesses and anyone with information to come forward.

At 8.42am today, Monday 1 May 2017, officers were called to a robbery at Londis Supermarket in Christchurch Road.

It was reported that a man threatened a member of staff with a knife. The offender then left the scene toward Boscombe with two bottles of Jack Daniel’s.

The member of staff sustained minor injuries to the hand.

The offender is described as white, about five feet ten inches tall and in his early forties. He was wearing a black top. Officers searched the area but no arrests have been made.

Detective Constable Jane Millard, of Bournemouth CID, said: “I am appealing for any witnesses to the incident to come forward.

“Also, I would like to hear from anyone who has seen a man matching the description in the area before the incident or running away from the shop.”
