Witness appeal after serious road traffic collision in Bournemouth

Officers are appealing for witnesses after a serious road traffic collision in Bournemouth.

At 11.45am yesterday, Wednesday 26 April 2017, police received a report of a collision in Southbourne Road involving a pedestrian and a car.

As a result of the collision the pedestrian, a Bournemouth woman aged in her 80s, suffered serious injuries to her legs and head.

The car involved was a silver Fiat Multipla. 

Road closures were put in place while emergency services dealt with the incident.

Police Constable Craig Tatton, of the traffic unit, said: “I would ask anyone who witnessed the collision who has not already spoken to officers to please contact me.”
