Witness appeal following burglary at a business in Wimborne

Officers in Wimborne are appealing for witnesses to come forward following a burglary at a business in the town.

At around 2.45am on Tuesday 21 March 2017 offenders gained access to McColl’s newsagents on High Street.

A large quantity of tobacco and cigarettes were stolen. The offenders left the scene in a grey Ford Focus vehicle.

Police Constable Dave Hassell, of Wimborne police, said: “We believe that a breeze block was used to smash open the window of the building.

“I am appealing to anyone who witnessed the incident, or has any information that may help me with my investigation, to please get in contact.

"I would also like to hear from anyone who saw a vehicle matching the description in the area at the time of the incident.”
