UPDATE: Man released without charge following rape in Weymouth town centre

A man has been released from police bail without charge following a rape in Weymouth town centre.

At around 2am on Tuesday 1 November 2016, Dorset Police was called to a disturbance at an address in Great George Street.

Officers attended and it was reported that a woman had been raped by a man she had met that evening.

A 25-year-old local man arrested on suspicion of rape and sexual assault has been released from police bail without charge.
