Witness appeal following serious injury collision in Poole

Officers are appealing for witnesses to come forward following a serious injury collision in Poole.

At around 6.47am today, Thursday 16 February 2017, a road traffic collision occurred in Blandford Road between a bicycle and a white Toyota IQ.

The cyclist - a local man aged in his 50s - sustained a serious head injury and was taken to hospital for treatment. His injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.

The driver of the car - a local man aged in his 20s - was uninjured.

Police Constable Lee Savage, of the traffic unit, said: “I am appealing to anyone who witnessed the collision, or saw the manner of driving or riding of either the car or bicycle immediately prior to the incident, to please contact Dorset Police.”
