Witness appeal following burglary in Dorchester

Police in Dorchester are appealing for witnesses and anyone with information to come forward following a burglary in the town.

Sometime between 11am on Friday 30 December 2016 and 2.20pm on Monday 2 January 2017 offenders gained access to a property in the Maiden Castle Road area near the cemetery.

A quantity of cash and a number of items of jewellery, mainly Pandora, were stolen.

Police Constable Andrea Watson, of Dorchester police, said: “I am appealing to anyone who saw or heard anything suspicious in the area during the relevant time to please contact Dorset Police.

“I am particularly keen to hear from anyone who has seen or been offered items of jewellery for sale in unusual circumstances since the time of the incident.

“Finally, I would like to remind residents to be vigilant and report any suspicious activity to Dorset Police.”
