Officers are appealing for witnesses to come forward following a serious injury road traffic collision in Gillingham.
At around 3.58pm yesterday, Friday 25 November 2016, a road traffic collision occurred in Wyke Road involving a pedestrian and a red Citroen C2.
The pedestrian – a 13-year-old local boy – sustained a serious head injury and was taken to Southampton General Hospital by air ambulance. His condition is no longer life-threatening.
The driver of the Citroen – a 17-year-old local man – was uninjured.
The road was closed to allow emergency services to deal with the incident and for collision investigators to examine the scene.
Police Sergeant Mark Scammell, of the Alliance Road Policing Team, said: “I am appealing to anyone who witnessed the collision or saw the manner of driving of the car immediately before, to please contact Dorset Police.”
