Witness appeal following arson in Bournemouth

Detectives investigating a malicious fire on cars in Bournemouth are appealing for witnesses and anyone with information to come forward.

At around 11.40pm on Sunday 20 November 2016, police were called by the fire service to a report of a fire at Seaward Accident Repair Centre on Wallisdown Road.

Officers, together with Dorset and Wiltshire Fire and Rescue Service, attended and discovered a vehicle on fire.

Detective Constable Nicky McGhee, of Bournemouth CID, said: “One car was completely burnt out by the fire but numerous other vehicles were also damaged. The building may have also been structurally affected.

"I am appealing to anyone who may have witnessed suspicious activity in the area at the relevant time or knows who was responsible to contact us.”
