Two men arrested following drugs incident in Gillingham

Two men have been arrested for Misuse of Drugs Act offences in Gillingham.

Officers attended an address in Cloverfields on Thursday 17 November 2016 following community intelligence about the alleged production and supply of cannabis.

A 21-year-old man and 24-year-old man – both from Gillingham – have been arrested on suspicion of producing a class B controlled drug and possessing a class A controlled drug and have been released on police bail pending further enquiries until the end of February 2017. 

Police Sergeant Steven Haywood, of Gillingham police, said: “These arrests were a result of community-provided intelligence.

“Dorset Police will always act on information about drug misuse and dealing and we would encourage anyone with information about such activity in their area to contact us.”
