Witness appeal following burglary at a holiday park near Dorchester

Police are appealing for witnesses following a burglary at a holiday park near Dorchester. 

Sometime between 9.30pm on Sunday 30 October and 10am on Monday 31 October 2016 offenders gained access to a window of a static caravan at Piddlehinton Camp.

A number of items were stolen including a diamond flower bracelet, diamond cross and chain, a 5ct diamond ladies ring, diamond stud earnings and a mixture of animal figurines.

A quantity of Royal Crown Derby ceramics stored in blue boxes was also taken.

Police Constable Andrea Watson, of Dorchester police, said: “I am appealing to anyone who witnessed suspicious activity in the camp between the relevant time to please contact Dorset Police.

“I am particularly keen to hear from anyone who has been offered high-value diamond jewellery or Royal Crown Derby for sale locally in unusual circumstances.”
