UPDATE: Alleged street robbery in Bournemouth

Two men have been arrested following an alleged street robbery in Bournemouth.

The incident happpened at around 12.10am on Monday 3 October 2016 along Wimborne Road, close to the junction of Withermoor Road in Winton.

A group of men reportedly approached the victim and demanded cash before one of the offenders then took the victim's phone before allegedly punching him twice in the face.

The victim - a 23-year-old local man - was taken to hospital, where he required an operation on his injuries.

Two men from Bournemouth, aged 19 and 21, have been arrested on suspicion of robbery and are currently on police bail until the middle of December 2016.
