Collision in Weymouth - witness appeal

Police are appealing for witnesses after a collision between a car and four pedestrians in Weymouth.

The incident happened at around 3.44pm today, Monday 31 October 2016 on the A354 Buxton Road near to the junction with Rylands Lane between a blue Vauxhall Zafira and a women and three children.

The woman suffered serious injuries that are not considered life-threatening and was taken to Dorset County Hospital for treatment.

An 11-year-old girl was taken to Dorset County Hospital with a suspected broken wrist.

An 11-year-old boy suffered minor cuts and bruises and was taken to Dorset County Hospital as a precaution.

A second 11-year-old boy was treated at the scene for minor injuries, but was not taken to hospital.

The driver was uninjured.

Police Constable Stu Smith, of Dorset Police's Road Policing Team, said: "I would like to speak to anyone who witnessed the collision or has any further information about the incident."
