Update: Teenage boy arrested after alleged assault in Bournemouth

Detectives investigating an alleged assault in Bournemouth have arrested a teenage boy.

The incident occurred at McDonalds on Old Christchurch Road at approximately 11.07pm on Friday 14 October 2016.

Officers were called to reports that a male member of staff was punched in the face as the restaurant was closing.

The victim was taken to hospital where he received treatment for possible life-changing injuries.

Police would like to thank members of the public who have already contacted officers. Anyone with information who has not yet spoke to police is asked to get in contact.

A 16-year-old boy from Bournemouth has been arrested on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm with intent and is currently assisting officers with their enquiries.
