Witness appeal after robbery at shop in Wool

Detectives are appealing for witnesses following an armed robbery at a shop in Wool.

The incident happened at around 8pm on Friday 7 October 2016 at the Spar Shop on High Street.

It was reported that three offenders entered the store via the rear door and threaten two members of staff with crowbars. They took a quantity of cash before making off. The victims were not physically injured in the incident.

The offenders were wearing dark clothing and had their faces covered.

Detective Sergeant Nicky Jenkins, of Weymouth CID, said: "This was a terrifying ordeal for the two members of staff who were in the shop at the time and I am appealing to anyone who witnessed the incident or saw three men acting suspiciously in the area at the time of the incident to contact me."
