A man has died following a road traffic collision on the A357 at Stalbridge today, Friday 7 October 2016.
Officers were called at 3.22pm to reports of a collision between a Suzuki motorcycle and a tractor registered to a Stalbridge company.
The rider of the motorcycle, a 37-year-old Blandford man, sadly died at the scene from his injuries. His next of kin have been informed and the coroner notified. No one else was injured.
The road is currently closed at Barrow Hill junction with Wood Lane and Thornhill Road junction with Grosvenor Road while collision investigators examine the scene. The road is likely to be closed for some time and motorists are advised to find alternative routes.
