Witness appeal following criminal damage to a memorial in Poole

Police in Poole investigating an incident of criminal damage in Poole are appealing for witnesses and anyone with information to come forward.

Sometime between 6am and 7pm on Sunday 11 September 2016 damage was caused to 12 artificial sunflowers in the Rose Garden, Poole Park.

Police Constable Adam Brooks, of Poole police, said: “The sunflowers represent the lives of people cared for by Forest Holme hospice and have been purchased by loved ones.

“I am appealing to anyone who saw someone committing damage to the sunflowers in the memorial display during the relevant times to please contact me.

“I am also keen to hear from anyone who may know who was responsible for this mindless vandalism to please get in touch.”
