Witness appeal after indecent exposure in Weymouth

Detectives in Weymouth are appealing for witnesses and anyone with information to come forward following an indecent exposure incident in the town.

Police were called at 8.30pm on Thursday 11 August 2016, following reports of a man indecently exposing himself to a local woman aged in her 40s on the Rodwell Trail near to where a bridge crosses Newstead Road.

The victim was not physically injured in the incident.

The offender is described as white, aged in his 30s, of slim to medium build and hollow cheeked. He was wearing a dark blue hooded top.

Officers are making active enquiries to locate the offender and investigations are ongoing.

Detective Constable James Batty, of Weymouth CID, said: “I am appealing to anyone who saw a man matching the description given acting suspiciously in the area to please contact Dorset Police urgently.

"I would like to reassure residents that the local Neighbourhood Policing Team have stepped up patrols in the area and can be contacted with any concerns."
