Officers investigating an alleged assault in Bournemouth are appealing for witnesses or anyone with information to come forward.
It is reported that at around 7.50pm on Thursday 25 March 2021 a woman was assaulted by a man on Gervis Road as she tried to get onto a bus.
The man allegedly grabbed hold of the woman, before throwing her onto the floor.
The victim – a local woman aged in her 40s – sustained an injury to her ribs that did not require hospital treatment.
Following enquiries, a 40-year-old man from Bournemouth was arrested on suspicion of assault. He has been released on police bail pending further enquiries.
The arrested man and woman are known to each other.
Police Constable Ran Hartman-Turner, of Dorset Police, said: “I am appealing to anyone who witnessed what happened to please get in touch.
“I understand there were two members of the public who intervened and I would urge them to please come forward as you may have important information to assist my enquiries.”
