Update – reported dog bite incident in Bournemouth

A woman has come forward following an appeal for witnesses in relation to an alleged dog bite incident in Bournemouth.

At around 12.45pm on Monday 18 January 2021 the victim – a man aged in his 30s – was running on Turbary Common when he noticed a woman walking from the Downey Close entrance with a dog off the lead.

It is reported that the dog approached the victim and bit the top of his leg, causing it to bruise. 

Following an appeal, a woman aged in her 40s has come forward and is assisting officers with their enquiries. No arrests have been made.
