Two men due in court for hunting offences

Two Poole men are due to appear in court charged with offences under the Hunting Act 2014.

The 54-year-old and 70-year-old will appear at Weymouth Magistrates’ Court on Monday 8 August 2016 charged with hunting a wild animal with dogs, contrary to section 1 and 6 of the Hunting Act 2004.

The 70-year-old man has also been charged with possession of a lock knife.

The offences relate to an incident of alleged hare coursing in an area near to Blandford on Thursday 2 June 2016.
