Update – reported theft from jewellers in Bournemouth

Officers investigating the alleged theft of a high value ring from a jewellers in Bournemouth have arrested a man.

At around 1.45pm on Monday 28 September 2020 a man entered Arcade Jewellers in Bournemouth Arcade and spoke to a member of staff about purchasing an engagement ring.

While the man was looking at one ring, he asked to see another one and as the member of staff turned around he reportedly left the store with a diamond solitaire ring valued at around £3,500.

A 34-year-old man from Poole has been arrested on suspicion of theft and released under investigation pending further enquiries.
