Witness appeal after serious road traffic collision in Poole

Officers are appealing for witnesses and anyone with information to come forward after a serious road traffic collision in Poole.

At approximately 5pm on Thursday 14 July 2016 a three vehicle serious injury road traffic collision occurred on Woodside Road at its junction with Sandecotes Road.

The three vehicles involved were a white Citreon Berlingo van, a black Kawasaki motorcycle and a grey coloured Mercedes A class.

The pillion passenger and rider of the motorcycle sustained serious injuries and were both taken by South West Ambulance to Poole Hospital.

Police Constable David Lawrence, of Dorset Police’s Traffic Unit, said: “I am appealing for any witnesses to the collision and the riding of a black motorcycle along Woodside Road and Penn Hill Avenue.

“I would like to thank motorists for their patience during the road closure, which was put in place to enable collision investigators to survey the scene.”
