Appeal to find man wanted in connection with burglary and theft in Bournemouth

Officers are appealing for information in relation to the whereabouts of a man wanted in connection with a burglary and a theft in Bournemouth.

Michael Matthew McGowan, aged 49 and of no fixed abode, is wanted in connection with a burglary in Leydene Avenue on Monday 4 November 2019 and a theft in Old Christchurch Road on Friday 29 November 2019.

He is described as white, around five feet six inches tall and of slim build with short dark brown hair.

Police Constable Jack Cornick, of Bournemouth police, said: “We have been carrying out a number of enquiries to try and locate Michael McGowan but these have so far been unsuccessful.

“I would urge anyone who has information as to his whereabouts, or who sees a man matching the description given, to please contact us.

“While we have no information to suggest he poses a risk to the public, I would urge anyone who sees McGowan not to approach him but to immediately contact Dorset Police on 999.”
