Fingerprints for Visa Applications

Fingerprints for Visa Applications

Members of the public requiring fingerprints for visa applications, police clearance or good conduct certificates from abroad, can make use of the service provided by Devon and Cornwall Police.

The service is available at Devon and Cornwall Police Headquarters in Middlemoor, Exeter, EX2 7HQ. This service is available Monday – Friday, 0930 – 1430hrs only. Appointments should be made by telephoning 01392 225125 during the opening hours.

Initial enquries can be made with a neighbouring police force to provide the service if they are geographically closer to you - but it is not guaranteed you will get an appointment that is convenient to you.

Fingerprints taken for certain countries are not subject to VAT. These countries insist that fingerprints are taken by a police force and therefore there is no private competition for this service.

When you have your prints taken please let the officer know where you are visiting so that they can charge you correctly.
