Transparency of Expenditure Over £500
Dorset Police is a publically funded organisation and this page presents the financial records of all our expenditure over £500 for public scrutiny. It demonstrates appropriate openness and transparency in our use of public funds to deliver a policing service to the people of Dorset.
The details provided are for all payments made which are over £500 (including VAT), showing who we paid, how much we paid, and what this was for. This includes:
- all items purchased;
- payments made to contractors carrying out work on our behalf; and
- other spending incurred in the course of our business.
The information detailing the preceding month's spending over £500 will be published no later than 30 days after the month ends.
We aim to be as transparent as we can but in some cases information identified as being commercially or operationally sensitive, or which relates to individuals, has been redacted.

Downloads of Monthly Spending Reports
The reports are listed in reverse chronological order below.
In order to make the information held in these reports as accessible as possible, we are currently publishing them in two formats, the standard Excel Spreadsheet and the CSV (comma delimited) file format. This is so that they can easily be read in a variety of applications.
Please note that the CSV format uses a standard column width and not all entries may be completely visible. To view all the data, you will need to expand the columns. You can do this by selecting all the cells in the file (the grey box beside column A and above row 1), and then clicking on Format / Column / AutoFitSelection.
We will regularly review the way in which we publish this information to ensure that the information is accessible as possible.
From March 2013, the Monthly Spending Reports will be published by the Office of the PCC. The reports can be found on their website here.
If you would like further information you may wish to take a look at the Finance and Expenses pages of our Freedom of Information Disclosure Log which details previous responses to Freedom of information Requests relating to Finance and Expenses of the force. We provide the link directly below;
