We are Sergeant Gemma Barber, PC Andy Scarratt & PCSO Adam Cleaver and we are responsible for community policing for the Arts University Bournemouth and Bournemouth University.

We can be seen patrolling the two universities' campuses on a regular basis. Please feel free to stop us for a chat. We also work very closely with our colleagues from the Winton, Charminster and Lansdowne NPTs because they cover the areas where the majority of the town’s students live and spend their time.

We have an office on campus. If you have any community safety concerns or would like to speak to one of us in person, come and see us in Room T108, Talbot House, Bournemouth University’s Talbot Campus.

Alternatively you can ring us on our mobile - 07554 439 650 - or email us. Please note, if a crime is in progress or life is in danger, please dial 999. You can also raise your concerns at one of our surgeries.

Local priorities

Current priorities (last updated June 2017):

1. Student noise complaints.

The Universities NPT are working closely with the council's environmental health officers to educate students around this issue.

2. Crime prevention regarding acquisitive crime toward students specifically burglaries and bike thefts.

The Universities NPT are tackling these problems using a variety of policing techniques and education.

Resolved priorities and actions taken:

The number noise complaints, burglaries and thefts continue to decrease for the general North Bournemouth area.

Also, the number attributed to students have also decreased.

Further updates will be updated as priorities are completed.
