Bournemouth - East
The majority of Bournemouth East section is residential. The community is multicultural, particularly the western end of the section.
The ethos of our section is high visibility and positive policing. A substantial part of this ethos is achieved by foot or cycle patrol. The section has a daily policing focus on tackling local issues such as drug dealing, anti-social behaviour, on street prostitution and road safety.
Our Neighbourhood Policing Teams (NPT) provide a regular and highly visible on-street presence, tackling issues of concern raised by the communities they serve.
For all of us, the priorities remain the protection of life and property, maintaining the peace, the prevention and detection of crime and the arrest and prosecution of offenders.
I request any members of our community who have concerns regarding crime or anti-social behaviour to inform us. As I stress at community meetings, 'if you tell us, we will do – please tell us.'
