Dorset Road Safe Partners offer a number of education courses and schemes to all age and road user groups. Get the facts and find out how you can become safer on Dorset roads.

Dorset Road Safe Courses

Bikeability teaches young and adult cyclists how to navigate the roads.

Providers include Dorset County Council, Borough of Poole and Bournemouth Borough Council.

The safety village teaches 3-11 year olds how to use road crossings, public transport and bikes safely in the interactive street set up.

The tour is provided by the charity, Safewise Safety Centre

 

STEPs is practical learning for 4-10 year olds in schools with mini traffic lights, crossings and tabards.

The key provider is Bournemouth Borough Council.

Safe Drive Stay Alive is a presentation with powerful testimonies, aimed at the 15 + age group, to make road users aware of their responsibilities.

Provided by Dorset & Wiltshire Fire and Rescue Service.

Life Drive gives new drivers aged 17 - 25 confidence on the roads. Provided by Safe Wise and Bournemouth Borough Council.

Good-Egg experts check children's car seats are fitted correctly. 80% of car seats checked in May were incorrectly fitted. This service is provided by Bournemouth Borough Council.

Theory and practical sessions aimed at older road users aged 65+ to refresh skills, increase confidence and improve road safety. Provided by Safe Wise.
