The Performance & Analysis and Dorset Road Safety departments have provided the following information:

I'm writing to request data on the following aspects of vehicle crime for the 2021 calendar year under the Freedom of Information Act: 

a) The number of offences recorded under the offence codes DR10 to DR61, and DG10 to DG90. 

There were a total of 656 Arrests for Drink Driving Offences, 280 Arrests for Drug Driving Offences and 43 Arrests for Fail to Provide a Specimen of Breath.

b) The number of offences under the offence code IN10.

IN10 is a DVLA code which Dorset Police do not use.

The data therefore identifies the number of Traffic Offence Reports processed at the Central Ticket Office for an offence of ‘No Insurance’ where the outcome is one of ‘Conditional Offer of Fixed Penalty’ or ‘Court’.

Answer: 582 offences

c) The number of people caught by speed cameras.

We issue Notices of Intended Prosecution (NIPs) following activation of a speed camera.

The figure below therefore identifies the number of NIPs processed at the Central Ticket Office where the outcome is one of: Education, Conditional Offer of Fixed Penalty or Court.
