The Performance & Analysis Department have provided the following information:
For this request we have searched Niche Crime recording system for the last 5 years where the key words “mailbox”, “mail box”, “postbox”, “post box”, “pillarbox” or “pillarbox” occurred in the OEL, and would advise that all were recorded under post box and non for mail box or pillar box.
We then reviewed the offence to only include post boxes belonging to Royal Mail
Please provide figures for thefts in which the item stolen was a post box, pillar box or mailbox belonging to Royal Mail for each of the last five years, year to date
