The Performance & Analysis Department have provided the following information:
For Q1 a search on “synthetic opioid” resulted in very low numbers, due to this the search was done on the following keywords: ‘synthetic opioid’, ‘fentanyl’, ‘carfentanil’, ‘methadone’, ‘buprenorphine’, ‘Subutex’ and ‘isotonitazene’. A review was completed and any of the above that detailed issue via prescription were removed.
For Q2 a search on ‘Oxycontin’ and ‘Oxycodone’ was completed.
1. For the calendar years 2017, 2018, 2019, 2020, 2021 and 2022 to date, the total number of reported incidents referring to synthetic opioid abuse;
