Dorset Road Safe have provided the following information: 

For Non Camera offences

We issue Traffic Offence Reports (TOR’s) which result in HORT1, VDRS, EDUCATION, CONDITIONAL OFFER OF FIXED PENALTY or COURT.

For Camera offences

We issue Notices of Intended Prosecution (NIP’s) which result in, EDUCATION, CONDITIONAL OFFER OF FIXED PENALTY or COURT.

My understanding, is that every UK constabulary that offers a course as a settlement option follows the same basic ACPO enforcement starting point of 10%+2 (so commencing at 35mph in a 30 limit), as NPCC has yet to publish anything to the contrary.

Q1). What is the slowest speed that you've ever issued a Notice of Intended Prosecution for speeding in a 20mph limit or zone?

Dorset Road Safe do not enforce 20mph via Speed cameras as such we do not issue Notices of Intended Prosecution for 20mph limits.

Offenders can be issued a Traffic Offence Report (TOR) by a Police Officer.

Over the period 01/01/2020 – 22/02/2022 there have been 5 TOR’s issued for exceeding a 20mph limit.

The lowest speed recorded was 30mph.
