The Dorset Road Safety Department have provided the following information:
For Camera offences we issue Notices of Intended Prosecution (NIPs) which result in, EDUCATION, CONDITIONAL OFFER OF FIXED PENALTY or COURT.
The data therefore identifies the number of NIPs processed at the Central Ticket Office where the outcome is one of EDUCATION, CONDITIONAL OFFER OF FIXED PENALTY or COURT.
Education courses = £120 course fee.
Fixed Penalty = £100 fine + 3 Penalty points.
Court = Sanction applied by the court.
Dorset Police Central Ticket office do not hold data in respect of Prosecutions/ Convictions /Cases dismissed or Not Proceeded With and the request should be redirected to Her Majesty’s Courts and Tribunals Service for data regarding these outcomes.
Information and data please on the Fixed Speed Cameras at Chideock for the years 2011 to 2020 including numbers of captures, cancellations, speed awareness option, fixed penalties issued, prosecutions, convictions, cases dismissed or not proceeded with.

Please note that for 2016, we understand from the Dorset Road Safe Camera Team that the cameras were out of commission for a considerable period of time due to road repairs and the subsequent resurfacing.
