Freedom of Information Act request number: 2022-148
Version date: 23/02/2022
The HR Operations Department have provided the following information:
This data was taken from snapshots as at the last day of the relevant quarter. Any individuals who were on ELB or External Secondment at the time were excluded from the relevant datasets and therefore are not reflected here.
Please be advised that some sickness periods span more than one quarter and have been reported as one sickness per quarter (e.g. if an Officer was off sick from 31st December 2020 - 1st January 2021, they will show as one occurrence for 2020 and one occurrence for 2021 despite being the same sickness period).
I would like to know the total number of sick days taken off by police officers due to mental health reasons, e.g. anxiety, stress, depression or other psychiatric illness.
I would like this information to be provided for each of the last five calendar years as follows: 2017, 2018, 2019, 2020, 2021
