The Performance & Analysis Department have provided the following information.
Data Limitations
There is no flag or marker for ‘street harassment’ and it would be fees to review all occurrences.
Prosecution data is held by the Courts / CPS and not the Police. Therefore, we have provided offences with an outcome of Charged or Postal Requisition – These numbers are subject to change where investigations are ongoing
1. For each of the past five financial years how many offences have been recorded under the Public Order Act 1986: S5 Harassment, Alarm or Distress / S4A Intentional Harassment, Alarm or Distress (targeting a specific victim) and S4 Fear or provocation of violence.
