Catapult offences

The Performance & Analysis Department have provided the following information:

1. The number of reports of catapult attacks in the Littlemoor area of Weymouth in the following years:
2021
2020
2019
2018
2017

For this question we have carried out a key word search of the word “catapult” for the dates requested within Weymouth, which had the beat code of Littlemoor, in our Incident database and STORM and there were a total 2 incidents, 1 in 2018 and 1 in 2021.

2. Please could you also include information about each report from the call made to police. (If this section would exceed the time limits in Section 12, please disregard)

We are unable to provide the log for the 2018 incident, due to it coming from our old incident database.

For the 2021 incident – “POSSIBLE CATAPULT SHOT AT A VEHICLE”

3. Please also specify which of these incidents resulted in arrests.

There were no arrests made for either of the incidents in 2018 or 2021

ASB is not in itself a crime and as such you cannot be arrested for ASB.  Any arrest would result from a substantive offence, such as Criminal Damage, Assault etc. and so the arrest would be recorded as the relevant crime and not ASB.
