Speeding Springdale Road

The Road Safety Team has provided the following information:

I have contacted Dorset Road Safe in the past with my concerns regarding speeding along this road.

Either as a direct consequence, or by coincidence, a van was positioned in the layby outside my house, and I have also seen a van in the entrance to Springdale First School in the past.

My reason for writing is that I continue to be concerned by speeding along this road.  I have recently contacted our Town Council, as I am aware that they have purchased a Speed Indicator Device (SID) and on querying where they are located, was informed that Dorset Council have determined that Springdale Road does not meet the criteria for one to be sited on this road.  The Town Council have told me that they have a Community Highways Request Policy, which allows residents to request  highways interventions.  I would like to put a case forward, and feel that data collected by a Dorset Road Safe van may be helpful in establishing a case.

Would you be able to provide such data from the occasions that vans were sited on Springdale Road.  The kind of data that would be helpful would be

•           Dates
•           Times
•           Number of vehicles passing the van
•           Number of vehicles exceeding the 30mph speed limit.

I am not seeking anything that would contravene GDPR, and the numbers would only allow me to identify volume of traffic and the % of vehicles above 30mph.

Timescale: the last five calendar years.
