Freedom of Information (FOI) Act request ref: 01/FIN/26/004890/U
Version Date: 03/08/2026
The Performance Analysis Department has provided the following information:
Searches were completed within Niche for occurrences with the Main Crime Group of Theft containing the keywords of ‘package’ or ‘parcel’ and ‘stolen’ or ‘theft’ within the occurrence enquiry log. Additional queries created to reflect victims, arrests and addresses.
Q1 How many instances of parcel theft (i.e., parcels stolen from somebody's doorstep or other cases where thieves steal a package, for example, by impersonating a delivery person or homeowner) were reported between the following dates (01/07/2025 - 30/06/2026)?
Q2 If possible, please provide a monthly breakdown of the number of reported instances of parcel theft within the date range provided in question one. Or, if this is not possible, any data that would make it possible to calculate this?
