The Performance Analysis Department has provided the following information:
Performance Analysis have downloaded all arrests for the time period and have then used the ‘count if’ formula to see how many times the shoulder numbers downloaded with no parameters appear in the arrests.
Please note: not all officers are in frontline operational roles that involve routine arrests of offenders. These roles will include many different specialities such as digital crime investigators, safeguarding officers, custody officers, intelligence development teams etc. The volume of arrests conducted by an officer is not recognised as a measure of productivity as the roles are diverse.
Please note: we have not been able to split into financial years per the request.
- How many police officers made no arrests during the periods of:
(a) 1 April 2023 to 31 March 2024
(b) 1 April 2024 to 31 March 2025
(c) 1 April 2025 to 31 March 2026 - It is important to note that not all officers are in jobs to make arrests.
- How many police officers made fewer than 5 arrests in the same periods of a), b) and c)?
195 made fewer than 5 but more than 0 arrests over the full time period.
- What was the total number of police officers (FTE) in this constabulary as of 1 April 2023, 1 April 2024 and 1 April 2025?
Please see below the figures for 2023, 2024 and 2025 however, the data is a snapshot of the 31 March of those years as we run our reports on the last day of each month. The figures do not include anyone that was on a Career Break or External Secondment at the time.
