Freedom of Information (FOI) Act request ref: 01/FIN/26/004544/F
Version Date: 06/05/2026
The Armoury Department Department and the Alliance Information Management Department have provided the following information:
Please provide me with the following information:
1) The number of your force's weapons (by type) and explosive munitions that were recorded as (a) lost and (b) stolen in 2021, 2022, 2023, 2024, 2025. Please break this data down by year. Please also break this data down by items which have and have not been retrieved, if possible.
Our checks showed zero records of lost or stolent weapons or explosive munitions or the years 2012 to 2025. This part of your request is a Nil return.
2) For the computers, laptops, memory sticks that were lost and stolen in 2021, 2022, 2023, 2024, 2025, I would like for the data to be broken down by items to show which have and have not been retrieved, if possible
2021 – 4
2022 – 4
2023 – 9
2024 – 7
2025 – 12
Please note, we are unable to determine how many items may potentially have been retrieved as this would be handled by a different department. Each recovered item would be assessed, erased and redeployed, potentially under a new asset number.
