Please advise how many 999 calls were received regarding illegal fox hunting in Dorset and how many were responded to with police actually attending for the period March 2024 to February 2026.
Please include a breakdown of areas.
The Performance Analysis Department has provided the following information:
Searches were completed within the incident database, Storm, for incidents that were received via 999 with the Qualifiers of “Wildlife” or “Rural Crime” AND has one of the following keywords in the comments log:
- Hunt
- Hunting
- Fox Hunting
- Fox
- Foxes
- Red Coat Hunting
- Fox Hunt
- Hounds
- Trail hunting
The results have been reviewed, and any false positives have been removed.
Please note that incidents where a hunt is reported but the animal being hunted is not stated have been included.
Attendance has been determined based on whether or not the Arrived date has been populated.
