The Performance Analysis Department has provided the following information:
Searches were completed within Niche for all crimes with a main crime group of Theft and Theft from Motor Vehicle and where the occurrence summary contained the words ‘catalytic con’, ‘catalitic con’ or ‘cat con’ to account for any spelling errors and variations in spelling of converter/convertor.
Please provide information on the total number of thefts of catalytic converters from motor vehicles recorded between 1st January 2024 (inclusive) and 31st December 2025 (inclusive) in your force area. Please also provide a breakdown of the number of catalytic converter thefts in each year during this time period.
